  • Are services provided covered by extended health plans?

    Naturopathic and acupuncture visits are covered by most extended health care plans. To ensure coverage, contact your insurance provider as each plan varies.

  • Does MSP cover services provided?

    MSP covers a portion of the services if you are on premium assistance. If you qualify for premium assistance, you may be reimbursed $23 per visit, up to 10 visits per year.

  • Is an initial appointment required before commencing services such as IV therapy and lab testing?

    All services provided require an initial visit to ensure optimal patient care and to rule out possible side effects and contraindications to treatment.

  • Is naturopathic medicine the same as homeopathy?

    No, naturopathic doctors are primary care physicians who use a variety of therapies and modalities according to each patient’s need. A “ND” (naturopathic doctor) may use botanical medicine, homeopathic medicine, physical medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, or any combination to treat a patient. A homeopath specializes solely in prescribing homeopathic medicines, which stimulate the body’s natural healing mechanisms.

  • Are the naturopathic doctors who work at the clinic licensed to prescribe medications?

    Yes, in B.C., naturopathic doctors have been granted pharmacy prescription rights to prescribe most medications. All our naturopathic doctors are licensed to prescribe medications.

  • Can Naturopaths prescribe bio-identical hormone replacement therapy?

    Yes , Naturopaths are able to prescribe hormone replacement therapy , except for controlled hormones , such as DHEA, and testosterone.

  • Is a referral needed to see the practitioners at the clinic?

    No referral is necessary. You may contact the clinic directly to book an appointment to see any of our practitioners.
